Saturday [June 24] marked the first day for 4th of July fireworks sales in Montana and stands in Lewis and Clark County are getting ready to open. Officials are reminding Independence day celebrants that fireworks are prohibited on BLM and Forest Service Lands, and in the City of Helena as well. Fireworks are legal on private property in the county. For Lewis and Clark County, fireworks sales end July 5.
