East Helena woman killed while trying to flag down help for disabled vehicle

The Montana Highway Patrol said a 59-year-old East Helena woman was killed while trying to flag down help for her disabled vehicle. Police say she died early Monday morning after she was struck by a passing motorist while standing along U.S. Highway 2 in Blaine County, where her truck had broken down about 2 a.m. near Dodson. A 24-year-old Columbia Falls man did not see the woman and ran into her, the MHP said. She succombed to her injuries at an area hospital.
