Health officials are warning of harmful algae blooms at Canyon Ferry Lake

HELENA, Mont. – Health officials are warning of harmful algae blooms at Canyon Ferry Lake. Officials say blooms are appearing along the north end of the lake and are particularly bad in sheltered coves and by the dam. Algae is also showing up at the Lewis and Clark Day Use Area and the Court Sheriff Campground. Health experts urge people to avoid the harmful blooms and to keep their pets and livestock away from them as well.
