Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s movement claiming victory

The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s movement is claiming victory after two men were prosecuted in federal court for domestic violence killings on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Terrance T. Aimsback, 35, will spend over 15 years behind bars for beating his girlfriend to death, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. And, Jordan J. Morgan, 31, pleaded guilty to a federal charge alleging he ran over a woman with his car in 2021 as the two argued, a news release stated. Morgan faces a maximum of eight years in prison when he’s sentenced on Dec. 6.
