KALISPELL – A five-day jury trial started Monday in Flathead County District Court for the man accused of killing an employee at a Kalispell fitness center in 2021. Jonathon Douglas Shaw is charged with fatally shooting Matthew Hurley, after he confronted the suspect who was living at the Fuel Fitness parking lot on U.S. Highway 2 West. Shaw is also charged with shooting an innocent bystander in the leg.
