Otter attack at river south of Helena leaves three injured

Three women were injured, after an otter attacked them while they floated down a river in Montana Wednesday evening. Authorities say the three friends were inner tubing about three miles upstream from the Sappington Bridge south of the state capital city of Helena, according to a statement released by Montana FWP Thursday. All three women received medical treatment in Bozeman, FWP confirmed. Signs have been placed at several access sites to the river advising people in the region of otter activity, authorities said.
