HELENA, Mont. – The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Office is waring residents about an online computer scam. Authorities said email notifications about your computer being compromised directes you to call a number for assistance. The victim is then tricked into giving the scammer remote access and then locking them out and demanding they provide them with gift cards to regain access.
