Back to back rescue efforts kept the Helena Fire Department busy Monday morning. Crews found a climber hanging about 150 feet from a cliff side on Mount Helena, with no rope or harness. He was safely lowered to the ground and appeared to be ok, according to reports.

AND…

Helena Fire located a stranded hiker on Mount Ascension with a leg injury needing medical care and assistance to the trailhead. An engine company and EMS crew carried the patient approximately 500 yards to the waiting ambulance and he was taken to an area hospital for treatement.
