Bail set at $500,000 for Bozeman man involved in Walmart shooting over cigarette lighter

Bail was set at $500,000 for a Bozeman man involved in a shooting in the Walmart parking lot over a cigarette lighter. Cody Andrew O’Connell appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court Monday on a charge of attempted deliberate homicide stemming from the incident at the store on North 7th Avenue Sunday night in which the 33 year old is accused of shooting at a man’s car after he told O’Connell he didn’t have a lighter. O’Connell’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 22.
