Bond set at $500,000 for woman accused of Sunday night stabbing in Helena

Bond has been set at $500,000 for a woman who was arrested on suspicion of trying to kill someone Sunday night in Helena. Cheyenne Rae Dawn Petersen, was charged with two felony counts of attempted deliberate homicide, stemming from the incident at a residence on Edwards Street where officers located a man with serious stab wounds, and Petersen was found covered in blood. The victim was taken to Benefis Health System in Great Falls with “possibly life-threatening injuries,” the press release said. Petersen’s arraignment is set for Oct. 25.
