Montana’s new state House districts map advances

HELENA – After four days of work sessions, the Montana Districting Commission advanced a tentative map for Montana’s new state House districts Thursday. However, disagreements remain between Democrats and Republicans, particularly in places like Butte and Anaconda, Whitefish, Ravalli County, and tribal, rural and urban areas, like Missoula, Bozeman and Helena. Residents can submit comments in person at the State Capitol during a hearing Dec. 10, or on the commission’s website.
