HELENA – After concerns from residents, plans to cut down trees on Rodney Street this week have been halted, the City of Helena announced Monday. A city spokesperson said the structural integrity of the trees on Rodney Street was compromised and that they pose a safety risk to the public, but residents living in the historic district said losing these trees could impact the character of the neighborhood. Officials said they have postponed the work that was set to start on Wednesday to allow for public comment.
