Charges filed in Missoula disturbance turned standoff

Charges have been officially filed in connection to what began as a disturbance at the the Poverello Center and turned into a standoff with Missoula SWAT last week. Officers responded to a report of a man threatening a staff member with a knife January 24, after he was asked to leave. The knife wielding suspect had fled the scene, but officers quickly located him at a nearby camper. After refusing to come out, SWATwas called and a smoke device was deployed inside the trailer, prompting the perpatrator to surrender. Billy Jameson Manywhitehorses is currently being held on nearly a half dozen charges.
