Workers seriously injured after mine caves in at Peak Energy

ROUNDUP – Three coal miners at the Signal Peak Energy mine were seriously injured Tuesday when an underground portion of the mine caved in. Musselshell County DES said ithe miners became trapped and the mine’s extraction team was able to get them out and above ground. All three miners were taken to a Billings hospital. The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration is investigating, according to the Montana Department of Labor and Industry.
