The city of Helena and Lewis and Clark County staff updated the commissioners on the progress of the local governments’ integrated solid waste master plan during this week’s [Tuesday] joint meeting. No substantial changes to the system will likely be made until the master plan is completed sometime next year [March 2024]. Officials said the goal of the work is to consolidate waste disposal services as a way to cut costs.
