BILLINGS – Aimed at addressing an affordable housing shortage, a Billings-based contractor is moving closer to bringing 3D-printed homes to Montana. The state approved building homes with 3D-printed walls in 2022, which the developer said drastically cuts down the build time, and also cut costs around 30%. He said a single-family 2,000 square foot home can be completed in 40 hours or less. He anticipates construction to start on the first 3D-printed home early this summer.
