A federal judge has dismissed a challenge to the U.S. Forest Service’s Divide Travel Plan for the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The Capital Trail Vehicle Association filed a lawsuit in federal court last year [Feb. 25, 2022], criticizing the travel plan for cutting off access to existing roads, which they say is in violation of federal guidelines. The judge ruled the U.S. Forest Service and Helena Hunters were in compliance with federal laws in adopting the travel plan for the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.
