MSU concerned about racially motivated death threats

BOZEMAN – Students at Montana State University have recently received disturbing, racially motivated death threats. Now, students are asking how the university is going to protect students of color and other minorities on campus. MSU said on Feb. 16, and on Feb. 23, graphiclly detailed death threats were sent via email, with hateful language targeting people of color and the LGBTQ community. The threat was ultimately deemed not credible, although the case remains an open investigation, according to MSU. But, students are concerned the University has yet to address the threats and may be sweeping them under the proverbial rug.
