Police said in an update that it appears the woman found dead off of Highway 1 in the Spring Hill area of Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Sunday took her own life. Preliminary investigations indicate there was no foul play, according to the Tuesday morning release, but the exact cause and manner of her death is still pending autopsy results. The victim lived in the area and neighbors found her body by some trees off the highway, police said. Authorites say they are working to determine the circumstances that led to her demise.
