The Veterans Crisis Line has recieved a record number of calls and texts, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs, with more than 88,000 contacts recorded in March. The Veterans Crisis Line provides assistance to veterans and service members experiencing mental health issues. The VA announced they are currently offering grants for organizations that provide suicide prevention services for veterans and their families through May 19.
