Yellowstone National Park officials are investigating an incident involving a good samaritan and a newborn bison calf that resulted in the calf’s death. According to a park press release, the calf got separated from its mother crossing the Lamar River and when a man reportedly helped the calf onto the roadway it caused a hazaradous situation for motorists, and had to be euthanized. Anyone who witnessed this May 20 incident is urged to contact the YNP Tip Line with information in the case.
