Commissioners opt to eliminate parking on Montana Highway 200

Motorists heading east out of Missoula over the weekend may have noticed “no parking” signs on Montana Highway 200. Missoula County Commissioners opted to eliminate parking from Brickyard Lane to Lerch Lane due to the grand opening of the new Sha-Ron parking lot. The new parking area along the river is expected to open June 17, according to Public Works officials. Construction on Highway 200 is also anticipated to begin June 19. Work will last until the end of August and drivers can expect delays through the project area.
