HELENA – Thousands of Montanans have lost health care post pandemic. Earlier this year, Montana regulators began reviewing the state Medicaid program since the end of the national COVID-19 public health emergency, and so far, as of last week [June 15], nearly half [49%] no longer qualify for coverage. A spokesperson said the department has focused on income based qualifications, and reviews based on age or disability are set to begin in July.
