Tribally owned meat processing plant got the green light from Ronan City Council

Plans for a tribally owned meat processing plant got the green light from the Ronan City Council recently. Council members approved an annexation for a 31-acre plot of land, marking the first of its kind tribal ownership in Montana. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes evaluated sites and developed plans for the plant over the past four years.
