The Helena bomb squad was called to assist when a suspicious device wired to a bicycle was found outside the Town Pump Store & Casino on S. Montana St., late Tuesday night. Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff Ed Lester requested help after an unidentified man told employees at St. James Healthcare there was a bomb near the Town Pump, forcing police to evacuate the store. The Helena bomb squad determined the device was not dangerous and the store was allowed to resume normal operations. Lester said, an investigation is ongoing.
