BUTTE, Mont. – A wildfire burning near Boulder prompted the shutdown of the Galena Gulch Campground and day use site Wednesday afternoon. The closure order is effective until further notice, according to a BLM media release. A pre-evacuation order was also issued by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for residents near the mouth of the Little Boulder River, where the Haystack Fire is estimated to have burned more than 10,000 acres.
