Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has confirmed sightings of grizzly bears in 2023 where grizzlies haven’t been seen in recent years, and in some cases more than a century, officials said Monday. Over the last couple of months, FWP staff have confirmed grizzly bear sightings in several places, including in the North Hills and Grizzly Gulch areas near Helena, and warned residents, the grizzly bear population continues to expand across Montana.
